The entry into the United States was smoother than expected. The biggest impact was due to the coldness and indifference of Americans to foreigners. The cold in the soul contrasted with the heat of more than 40°C.

To soothe my thoughts, a phone call. On the other side, with a half-Spanish, half-English accent, was Tony, a Brazilian who has lived in the region for 15 years. After that, it didn't take long for me to feel surrounded by brothers. Yes, that's what the many Latino immigrants I met along the way are called. A fellowship that goes beyond the tradition of a church or community. They are brothers because they have crossed not only the borders of their countries, but also those of their lives.

In the home of the couple Tony and Blanca I had the peace of one who was at home. I realized that the country most coveted by all is made up of immigrants. The whole world is!
